In this class we will be working with a real chocolate cake and dark chocolate ganache.
You will learn:
Why and how to work with ganache & the benefits over buttercream
How to trim, fill and stack your cake
How to apply ganache and create a sharp edged base
How to colour and apply sugarpaste / fondant icing
How to create sharp edges with your icing for a professional look
How to create a stunning sugar flower & attach to your cake
How to cover your cake board
How to put it all together for a professional finish
All the techniques you learn in this class can be transferred to create other designs and some techniques can also be used on cupcakes.
As with all our classes, we provide everything you need including a 6" chocolate fudge cake & chocolate ganache for you to decorate and take home.

Skills level: Beginner
Class time: 9.30am - 2.30pm (approx)
Please bring an apron, this is a very messy class. You are welcome to bring a light lunch if you wish.
